Transformations

There is more than one way of measuring your success. Often we rely purely on the scales to determine our success, but you should also consider taking progress photos, doing measurements, gaging your progress by how your clothes fit and how you feel. 

 

 

My transformation post knee operation

Following a knee injury I spent a long period struggling to be active as a result of the injury until I had an operation to repair it. It meant that I was incredibly inactive (also in a very sedentary job), not being able to exercise because of the injury and eating because I was down about it and I piled on the weight. Once I was healed after the operation I hit the gym and improved my eating and achieved the transformation in 13 weeks.

My post natal transformation

I only weighed myself for the first time 3.5 months after my son was born. Since that time I have lost over 30lbs. As the weight has been lost during the period I was studying I had a very clear view of what I needed to do to see results. I have eaten cake, chocolate and plenty of carbohydrate heavy foods. I am still losing fat eating around 2,000 calories and enjoying the foods that I enjoy - not deprivation, just moderation. This is still a work in progress but I'll be at my target soon.

I have known Laura for about 6 months now. There is nothing she doesn’t know about nutrition, metabolism, weight loss etc!!

Before I met her I’d literally tried every diet in the book, Atkins, weight watchers, slimming world, Cambridge etc etc. What a waste of time and money. Often I did lose weight but as soon as I stopped the diets the weight piled back on!
Laura is like a breath of fresh air. Firstly, she’s tried every diet too so really gets the mentality. Secondly, she never judges!

Laura has taught me that as long as I burn more calories than I eat then very simply, I will lose weight. We do this through tracking my exercise and what I eat! If I overindulge too much, I still track it and it’s ok - she never tells me off or makes me feel small, just re motivates me to keep going!!
I’m continuing to lose weight and I feel like a big weight has been lifted. I don’t obsess about food/drink like I used to. Nothing is off limits I just need to keep everything in balance!!

I’ve been using The Nutri Low Down group since mid April and have been amazed at how simple it’s been to lose weight (19lbs in 16 weeks). It really is as simple as burn more than you eat.

Laura has been a great support at keeping me on track or answering my questions around logging food correctly to ensure I stay within my calorie goal.

The group is very friendly and full of useful ideas and tips to help get your nutrition goals in different ways. This is something I can definitely see me being able to maintain going forward.

Having done slimming world and fad diets they don’t work long term and once you stop these plans the weight goes back on. Laura is teaching people to lose weight in a healthy way that isn’t boggling the mind. It’s easy to understand and I’m so glad I took the step to join the group!

I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to lose weight and get healthier.
